The total surface area of the Earth is about 197 million square miles.  Water covers 70.8% of this and the land area is 29.2%.  Of this 29.2% land base, only approximately 11% is classified arable, half of the land mass is either desert (14%), mountains (27%), or other less suitable terrain.  Now, it is estimated that only one-eighth of the surface is suitable for us to live on.  

Of these various life forms, we humans stand out as the Vicegerents of creation.  How can this Human Being, so universally endowed with access to Universal Intelligence, so arrogantly abuse it, especially when it is Universal Intelligence that is responsible for all of creation?  What is the consequence of such blatant abuse?

Well, that’s easy.  The overriding consequence is self-destruction (suicide), along with the destruction of other forms of life; edaphocide, a term I coined for the destruction and murder of Living Soil and the edaphone, i.e., the sum of all soil organisms, and genocide, the general destruction of the gene pool living in the ecosystem at-large..

Groups of humans have conquered and claimed, by force, murder, and tricknology, almost every inch of earth’s land mass and they have subjugated and relegated its inhabitants to their absolute command, usurping their sovereignty by falsely educating them, thereby making them weak and self-destructive.

What follows, I have taken from the pages of a book entitled The Nemesis of Nations, by William Romaine Paterson.   This summary of our condition could not be any clearer.

“The record of the great social experiments of the past is chiefly a record of injustice and suffering.  It is also a record of the disappearance of the political systems in which those experiments were made.  Perhaps, therefore, we shall be able to detect some relation between the causes of their exhaustion and their fall and the defects in their ideas of justice and, further, be able to ask to what extent those causes of ruin are still active within our communities.  History is full of the presence of a Nemesis, whether in the form of a prolonged decay or a violent collapse.  Entire civilizations have perished in the attempt to create a social order which appears to have contained only the elements of its own disorder and dissolution.

The Laws of history have not ceased to operate.  Those laws find expression in long processes of collective growth and collective exhaustion.  History, as well as Nature, displays a mysterious economy, and whole races may lie fallow during centuries in order suddenly to burst into vigor.  On the other hand, the process of organic decay appears to be as irresistible in those great organisms called governments, as in the most minute forms of life.  Secret causes working like sappers and miners underneath a State often begin to show the real extent of their devastation only in the moment of crisis and attack.

The genius of our Human Race has almost been obliterated and we have been broken into fragments and have suffered so great displacement that we are frequently unable to trace the routes over which we were driven.  It is at this point that we begin to discover how closely the internal happiness of a community depends on its outward relations, and how the fortunes of the individual are bound up with the fortunes of the aggregate.  The tragedy of community life consists in the fact that although the world’s harvest could be abundant enough to satisfy the needs of humanity, it’s reaping is regulated by the law of battle.  Hence, the pressure within each community is aggravated by the combined pressure of all communities against each other.  The moral of our Race is therefore still only an idea and not a reality.  

The dissolution of communities has frequently been the Nemesis which awaited their refusal to cooperate.  We cannot be sovereign unless we are able to generate, accumulate, and control our own resource base in order to meet the demands of our spiritual-socio-economic-political development process.  Resource accessibility is still one of the major constraints of authentic bio-based economic development.  In order to bring about authentic development without undue dependence on aliens (plutocrats), earth’s population at-large must participate.

These facts lead to the obvious conclusion that unless there is a condensation of indigenous intellect, that is, an indigenous consortium, our state of existence will forever be synonymous with exploitation!”

Why do we think and behave the way we do, ultimately, against our own best interest?  It is because of the way we were and are being programmed through our system of education.

I should not use the word education, because, the word educate comes from the Latin e ducare, which means to lead out – out of the darkness of ignorance into the light of being!  However, the opposite has occurred, because, our ‘modern’ education system was designed to keep us in the dark regarding the truth about our unlimited cognitive capability and the true nature of our innate sovereignty.

Our system of education, and that of most of the so-called civilized world, is based on the Prussian Model (Factory Model of education), designed to indoctrinate children, year by year, from age 6 to 16 into full compliance with the State and its military leaders, to ensure that they would obey those in authority and never disobey orders.  For further info, look up the Prussian Model of Education.

To put this in real-time perspective, in the U.S., students will spend 13 years in public education, averaging 180 days (school year) and about 6 ½ hours per day.  Do the math and you get an astronomical 15,210 hours of school for every child in the U.S., excluding time spent on homework and assignments.

As a result, the child-student no longer had the ability to be creative and pursue instincts and curiously explore and play freely.  The child-student was and is subjected to a method of cultivating information in their mind through repetition and memorization (mass brainwashing).

15,210 hours of dedicated programming creates a standard mind-set preadapted to be conscripted into a multifaceted labor market, which rewards you with just enough money to survive (i.e., a JOB, Just Over Broke), in which you never realize your slavery position and never produce more than a grumble against your condition for fear of retribution.  Somehow this condition is tolerated because of the 13-year programmed educational standardized mindset that the masses are mandated and enforced by law to become victims of a system designed to create a servitude mentality to become a labor pool for all sectors of an economy, where they produce the fruit, but, are denied the real nutrition.

A Miscarriage of Education is an appropriate title for this blog, because, miscarriage means to abort before full term is reached and our minds have been poisoned with false perceptions before we could think for ourselves. 

You cannot use common knowledge and subjective ideas to investigate natural phenomenon, as they are outside experiences of ordinary life.

“Wisdom is not assimilated with the eyes, but with the atoms.  When your conviction of a truth is not merely in your brain but in your being, you may diffidently vouch for its meaning” (Sri Yukteswarji).

We must awaken from the mind, for the mind is blind and most of what we know is filtered through our memory and past experiences in thought, both good and bad.

I would like to share some wisdom from the pages of Raja Yoga.

The intent is to provide some clarity to the mechanics of perception and further insight to our Being.

I have eyes.  The eyes do not really see.  Take away the nerve center, which is in the brain, the eyes will still be there, with the retinae complete, as also the pictures of objects on them, and yet the eyes will not see.  So, the eyes are only a secondary instrument, not the organ of vision.  The organ of vision is in the nerve center in the brain.  Infinite worlds are created in an area (mental screen) just a few centimeters in size in the back of the brain.  What we see is nothing more than light waves (photons with varying wavelengths) and electrical signals.  The two eyes are not sufficient.  Sometimes you can be asleep with your eyes open.  The light is there and the picture is there, but, a third thing is necessary: the mind must be joined to the organ.  There is a depth to everything there; the stars seem very far away, while a pencil we hold in our hands seems very close, however, everything is on the same plane in our brains and at the same distance.  The Sun seems to be millions of miles away.  However, it is actually right next to us in our brains.  The reason why the sun exists in our brains is simply and solely electrical signals that we cannot hold in our hands nor even really know exists.  Incidentally, other ‘beings’ whom we may or may not “see,” themselves may “see” and interpret the same electrical signals that we “see” and interpret. 

First there is the instrument, second, the organ, and third, the mind’s attachment to these two.  The mind takes the impression farther in and presents it to the determinative faculty, which reacts.  Along with this reaction flashes the idea of ego.  Then, this mixture of action and reaction is presented to the real Soul, which perceives an object in this mixture.  

Our world is limited to what we are shown on the screen in our brains.  Dreams occur on this same screen with no corresponding matter, only electrical signals.

An ancient Chinese sage once said that he had dreamed that he was a butterfly.  His dream was so real that he could feel the warmth of the sun on his wings, feel the gentle breeze as he flew in and out of the shade of trees, and sense the delicate fragrances, through his antennae, of the various nectars from the diverse garden flowers.  His dream was so real, that when he woke up, he did not know if he was a man dreaming that he was a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming he was a man.  All electrical signals!

The organs, the mind, the determinative faculty, and the egoity – all these together form the group called the internal instrument.  They are but various processes in the mind-stuff, waves of thought manifesting like whirlpools of energy.

What is thought?  Thought is a force, as is gravitation or repulsion.  From the infinite storehouse of force in Nature, the instrument called mind-stuff takes hold of some, absorbs it, and sends it out as thought.  Force is supplied through FOOD, and out of that food, the body obtains the power of motion, and so forth.  Others, the finer forces (vibrations), it sends out as what we call thought.  So, we see that the mind is not intelligent; yet it appears to be intelligent, because the intelligent Soul is behind it.  The Soul is the only sentient Being; the mind is merely the instrument through which it perceives the external world.  Take these words; as words, they do not exist outside; what is outside is unknown and unknowable.  The unknowable furnishes the suggestion that gives a blow to the mind, and the mind gives out the reaction in the form of words, just as when a stone is thrown into the water, the water is thrown against it in the form of waves.  The real Universe is the occasion of the reaction of the mind.  A word form or an elephant form or a human form is not outside; all that we know is our mental reaction to the outer suggestion.  Matter is the permanent possibility of sensations.  It is only the suggestion that is outside.

Take an oyster for example.  You know how pearls are made.  A parasite gets into the shell and causes and irritation, and the oyster throws an enamelling round it and this makes the pearl.  The universe of experience is our own enamel, so to say, and the real Universe is the parasite serving as nucleus.  The ordinary man (mind) will never understand it, because when he tries to do so, he throws out an enamel and sees only his own enamel.     

So, we must live our participation in life from a different place.  There are modes of expression other than words, for language, as we know it, is peculiar to humans and is tricky – is an engineer one who minds the train or trains the mind?

Therefore, we must act by the principles of what we are by Nature.  We are not what we are practicing now and we were never that.  In us is the original germ of creation.  The first atom that burst forth to give sound is still active.  Sound is the original creational tone.  Everything is made up of energy at various frequencies.  All things in Nature vibrate to sound.  Sound frequencies affect everything about us.  Our body is not solid.  Rather, it is energy that is held together by sound.  Weakness did not bring us into the world.

Materials from the earth give us a body for breath to enter.  The atoms of Life in the air are the things that give us Life.  It is the same breath of Life that carries the Earth.  When it entered the body, it made a sound and from that sound (vibration) we could, walk and we could guide ourselves.  Our real Soul is our Breath.

It is the Silence between the breaths that the blind mind exists, where silent thoughts reside, a place where silent intuitive communion between our Soul and the Universal Intelligence can become One again, a portable Paradise.

The concept of connectivity could be better explained if we consider that the appearance of the first Atom, by whatever means, was created by a Power that is beyond our current comprehension.  Further, consider the self-replication of that Atom, such that, now, there are two.  This would be the beginning of connectivity, which gives rise to self-organization, which gives rise to proper arrangement or order, i.e., Law, which would give rise to structure and system functionality.  The presumption is that there is an intelligent universal mind responsible for the first act, creating an intelligent energy field that surrounds all matter and acts as the connecting glue holding the fabric of the universe together as an energetic matrix.  

It has been determined that the atoms (elements) and some molecules have their birthplace in and among the stars, e.g., Hydrogen, Carbon, Oxygen, Iron, Nitrogen, Silicon, Sulfur, etc.  Our Sun, a medium sized star, is composed of and emits these elements to Earth as we find them in volcanic rock, our atmosphere, soil, plants and animals, including humans.  In fact, 67 elements have been detected in the solar spectrum.  So, we can see that everything in the Universe is connected to everything else.

The Solar System is a living organism, consisting of all the elements that create and sustain life.  It can be said that it is a cosmic periodic table elements, from which our Periodic Chart is derived, although, Earth’s chart does not contain the full cosmic spectrum of atoms.

The Hydrogen atom is 99.9999…% empty space.  Our body is 99.999…% empty space.  For a typical human of 70 kg, there are almost 7 times 10 to the 27^th power atoms (7 followed by 27 zeros), Of this, almost 2/3 is hydrogen, ¼ is oxygen and about 1/10 is carbon.  These three atoms add up to 99% of the total.

If we removed all of the space inside our atoms, the entire human race would fit inside of the volume of a sugar cube.

Our body consists of 1.2 times 10 to the 27^th power molecules, and more than 99% of them are water molecules.

From this perspective, we are a blob of water walking around in a pocket of space!!!. 

Could it be that Sound gives us form, shape and the ability to move.  Cymatics.

Well, the Breath of Life enters the picture, along with Spirit, Intelligence and Information, but, that’s another story.

Man, original meaning Mind, rose up out of the Cosmic Sea.  That which sustains Life, produced it.  From Cosmos to Matter to Man/Mind, Mind/Man; HuMan is Cosmos, Cosmos is HuMan.

The term human has its root in the Sanskrit language:  Hu from the Sanskrit root Om (AUM) meaning the “first vibration” (first sound, authentic and original, Universal Intelligence) and Man from the Sanskrit root Mn meaning mind of the ordinary man, manual, practical.  So, the term ‘human’ is therefore an eternal reminder of the ancient doctrine that the Universal Intelligence is even now in all of us and can be more fully realized by all. 

The Cosmic Laws, which are so Just and inevitable, should surely give us an idea of the inexorable Justice that must redress all Balance.

Our limited free will is a Trust that we should not, under any circumstance, betray, as cosmic lines of force are produced in the brain itself.

Artificiality represents the discord in the Universal Harmony of Balance.  Every cause, great or small, must have its corresponding consequences.

Our Wisdom and Power are given only for establishing and maintaining the Balance which describes Life, in its widest sense. 

The Human Being is the final filter in the refinement and perfection of WISDOM/PURE ENERGY.  

Now, the Intelligence that shapes our ends, is in ourselves, it is our very self.  We are commanded through knowledge by our very own self.  All energetic activity is mathematical, with respect to and in accord with created elements and forces.  It can be said that consciousness exists in mathematical structures (Sacred Geometry) that can support complex information processes, which defines the physical domain.  Enlightened mathematics, in our realm of thought, is not subject to opinion, nor does it rely on heated debates as to what the correct answer is.

The knowledge of all the Sciences and Mathematics is 360 degrees, which in order to hold that amount of mental weight, would require that all brain cells to be in natural operation.  When this happens, we are in tune with all the elements of NATURE.  We are Supreme in our BEING, as we are comprised of all the atoms in existence and further, can exist with or without them.   

We are thought evolved Beings.  In all thoughts, there is energy which NATURE receives.  Every thought is allied (bonded) with Power.

The WILL is composed of all the Atoms that each part of Nature is composed of.  Whatever we Will to be, will Be, once enough energy of that thought is accumulated.

Intelligence and WILL are spiritual functions; still they are immersed in matter (e.g. water) and to every movement of theirs, corresponds a movement in the brain, that is, in their material correlative.  

Calmness is Power.  LAW, not confusion, is the dominating principle in the Universe.

The Way to NATURE’S Doorstep is through Silence and Intent.  All of Nature will be in harmony with us, and likewise, we will be in harmony with all Nature.

Like the frog, we are living in a mental/psychological pot.

Like the frog, the process of our mental/psychological imprisonment/enslavement, in the pot, was premeditated and commenced centuries ago before we could recognize what was happening. 

To get a more thorough understanding of the workings of this insidious process, let’s suspend all that we thought we knew in an exchange for a refreshing perception, as this process is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.

There is precision in the creative process.  Nothing random as Nature is infallible and makes no mistakes.  Universal or Cosmic Law in THE LAW.  

There are no wrong keys on the piano.  The difference is who writes the music and for what reason.  

Life is a team effort.  We cannot work against ourselves.  With every thought, we change, multiple personalities.  Thoughts are energy and energy affects every atom, molecule, tissue, organ and system, which, belongs to you, but, can affect others close or distant from you.  Thoughts can have a mind of their own and go rogue, resulting in disease, pathological, emotional and spiritual.

We must send the proper information (instruction), i.e., play the proper keys, to achieve the results we want, through intent, which is resonance, the absence of thought and thereby reconnect with Universal Resonance, Healing.  Ineffable is the absence of words for description, which, comes from thoughts.  The absence of thoughts means the absence of energy.  What is left is just IS, as in I AM, as in AUM.

In this way, we reconnect with everything consciously, as all things are connected and inner-connected.

Well, with the self-replicating intelligent energy in the Cosmos that is transmitted to Earth and which we are the recipient of, how in the world did we miss the boat and find ourselves in our current global predicament?

Remember, we are Light Beings, however, we have managed to keep some darkness as a part of our Being.  Under certain conditions, that darkness can be caused or stimulated to grow, exponentially, to the extent of sacrificing our innate intelligence, logic and common sense on the altar of ignore-ance.

As previously intimated, it goes back to the way we were hoodwinked into accepting and believing false doctrines.  Why do we only use about 5% of our DNA and limit ourselves, primarily, to only animal functions, eat, sleep, sex, reproduction and domestication.  Who knows what power can be realized with the stimulation and activation of the remaining 95%!  It starts with proper perception.

History is full of examples where the unthinking mind has been made to be fearful, frightened by any means necessary.  The unthinking mind readily seizes upon false doctrine and pseudo-science as to be unquestionably correct.  Our Universal instincts have been put to sleep in that we accept the command of another person without careful analysis and ultimate agreement, or not, with the intent and purpose of the command.

The command starts out as a mere suggestion and our untrained minds take over.  We are lulled into an induced sleep with our eyes wide open to physiological perception.  What is then changed is our psychological disposition by whatever impression (doctrine, command, etc.) was suggested to our mind.  Therefore, induced consciousness can, and often does, cause erroneous interpretations and translations.

The reasoning of our objective brain and outer consciousness becomes dependent upon what education, training and system of reasoning our brain had in the past.  

Due to the weakness of our mind, we become ready to accept mental poisoning and, thus, become the victim of the most serious injustices ever committed by man upon man.

Remember, this is our home, Mother Earth and the breath it floats in, the same breath we breathe.  Our survival absolutely depends on the sun, moon, water, fertile soil, macro- and microorganisms, the authentic food their interactions produce and our state of consciousness.  If our water and soil are corrupted, then, the food it produces will no longer be natural and our state of consciousness will be weak, subject to derangement and confusion, and relegated to a subservient position.  If we don’t use our own mind, someone else will.

Whose food you eat is whose music you dance to!

The Human Condition:  

Half of the world goes to bed hungry every night.

Half of the world harbors 80% of the intestinal worm infections.

These two facts, alone, are of such a nature as to serve as the driving force behind all efforts to understand how this could happen in a so-called progressively intelligent global society.  Many questions arise, however, the answers of which are often plausible lies.

Meditating on our sojourn from space dust to the rock dust of our Earth, we can intuit that all of creation is connected and related and that there is intent and purpose in the design architecture.  Just as the seed contains the entire blueprint of the ultimate expression of the original design of what it is meant to be, through reproduction and replication, the original intent and design of creation, in the first movement, contained all that is, the Universe, as we know it.  The process repeated itself until, in our dimension, the ultimate form was manifested on planet Earth.  We are the Cream of the Crop on Earth in this star system.  The intent here  is to have a structure (vehicle) to be able to house and express the Consciousness of the Universe, self-replication of The One, through self-realization and self-perfection.

As we are the Cream of the Crop on Planet Earth, our home, we are designed to be and function as the conscious caretakers, the Vicegerents.  What happened that we, out of all of Earth’s creatures, have managed to foul our nest in less than200 years?  We have not been true to our design or blueprint.  Our Consciousness has been consciously corrupted.  Somewhere along the process of coming out of darkness into the Light, we have managed to cling onto some of the darkness within ourselves and reproduce it into others, while operating in the full light of our own ignore-ance.

The time is now for us to know and understand a few, and only a few, essential facts about where we are, how we got here and what we must do.  Life is too short to be living under the blinding perception of the ‘good life’.  How many generations have passed that our only success has been to move from one mental slave master to another, from one ‘Big House’ to the next.  Life is too short and our real potential for mental liberation too great to remain under a cloak or hood.  Our innate intelligence has been used against us.  We are using our innate intelligence against ourselves.

It’s like the frog who was put in a pot of pleasing water.  The pot offered the frog security and it became his zone of comfort, and his mind went to sleep, all the while, the heat was slowly and imperceptibly increased.  When the frog finally woke up and tried to hop out, his legs no longer worked as hot sauce was being sprinkled on them!

Proper perception of our own self-worth is the key.

The intent of these blogs, thus far, is to establish a common ground from which to develop a fresh perception of reality based on facts and not on the suspicious claims of modern science, conjecture or guessing.

This type of program will connect you to yourself, the at-large community, and both to their ecosystem.  This strategy is designed to develop and cultivate a beneficial relationship between their combined actions and their natural surroundings.  The results of this rather non-traditional approach to education is to demonstrate that we will alter our behavior from passive and active destruction to proactive conservation of our environment when we are properly educated in such a way to readily see a relationship between our health, economic and social well-being and proactive conservation efforts, and somewhere in that understanding, discover our True Identity, our Authentic Mind.

Humanity’s mission must be to assist in balancing holistic economic productivity with environmental sensitivity, thus, restoring ecological balance and, at the same time, instilling in the citizens of the world a conservation ethic that applies to all facets of life. 

Humanity has been given the intelligence and the earth was made tractable to that intelligence.  Our esteemed position as Vicegerents of our planet is based upon knowledge that enables us to be a steward/caretaker of the environment in which we live.  

This is the beginning of the process of authentic social genetics, i.e. the return to the intended state of Universal Harmony, the Authentic Cosmic Energetic Food Web.

Our survival absolutely depends on the sun, water, land, macro- and microorganisms, the natural food their interaction produces, and our state of consciousness.

If our water and land are corrupted, then the food it produces will no longer be natural and our state of consciousness will be weak, subject to derangement and confusion, and relegated to a subservient position. If we do not use our own mind, someone else will.  Thus, it can easily be enslaved by false doctrines, all leading to a predictable slow, agonizing and expensive death.

Humanity’s environmental impact on our Earth has reached an unprecedented scope, and it is getting worse.  The systematic destruction of the Earth’s natural and nature-based resources has reached a point where the economic viability of economies is being challenged.  

In my last blog, which dealt with, in part, the systemic disappearance of our arable agricultural lands and the projected global consequences, which portends economic, political, and civil chaos, I only made reference the land/soil/human aspect of our predicament.

The most important component of the total planetary matrix is the WATER, quantity and quality.  It is the most pervasive substance on Earth and, as far as we know, is not found on any other planet in our solar system.  Its total finite volume is 1.41 billion cubic kilometers; that is all, we get no more.  If this amount of water was spread evenly over a flat earth’s surface, the water layer would be approximately 10,000 feet high.  But, 98% (9,800 feet) of this water is saltwater of the oceans, inland seas, and deep underground basins.  The remaining 2% (200 feet) if freshwater.  Eighty-seven per cent (87% – 174 feet) of the 2% is locked in ice caps and glaciers, and most of the rest is underground, in the soil, in the atmosphere, and in living things.  This means that the remaining 13% or 26 feet of the 10,000 feet of water are available to satisfy human needs, and almost all of this water is already contaminated and in short supply.   

Currently, DNA, our Planet’s very code that defines life, is at risk.  Ninety-nine point nine per cent (99.9%) of all life that ever existed is now extinct.  The Earth has experienced five mass extinctions, the latest of which occurred 65 million years ago (GEO-4).

A sixth major extinction is under way, this time caused by human behavior.  One hundred-plus species become extinct everyday (bio-genocide) due to tropical deforestation (World Resources Institute).

As we begin to reflect on the fixity of our productive resource base, the paradox becomes clear.  While our arable land base is fixed and our population growth is incessant, water may well be the determining factor of our lifestyle and livelihood, indeed, even our own survival as a species!

To put the global water crisis in proper perspective, with strategic meaning for us in the United States, let us consider our own Ogallala Aquifer.  The Ogallala Aquifer has been noted as the largest freshwater aquifer in the world.  It is a shallow water table aquifer located beneath the Great Plains and underlies approximately 174,000 square miles (450,000 sq.km.) in portions of eight states (South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas), which comprise one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world.

According to the High Plains Underground Water District data, The O. Aquifer has dropped 325 billion gallons every year since 1969.  As vast as the O. Aquifer is (holding about 27% of the irrigated land in the U.S.) and holding 3 billion acre feet of water (1 acre-foot equals 1 acre covered by 1 foot of water or 325,000 gallons of water), it could run dry in 50 years and if so, the Aquifer will take over 6,000 years to replenish naturally through rainfall.  In many areas, the aquifer has already dropped below the minimum depth for large-scale irrigation, its primary use (1.7 million acres of farmland).  Some wells that produced 500 gallons per minute now give up 50 gallons per minute.  This system also supplies drinking water to 82% of the people who live within the boundaries of the High Plains.  Hello California’s drought-torn Central Valley.

Although the water in the Aquifer appears to be inexhaustible, and could cover all 50 states with 1.5 feet of water, while producing $20 billion in food and fiber (breadbasket of America), supplying one-fifth of the total annual U.S. agricultural harvest, production is based on geologic or fossil water.  It is a hydrologic fact that when this liquid treasure is gone, it’s GONE for the intended uses.

Farmers across the region have made a Faustian bargain – giving up long-term conservation for short-term gain.  To capitalize on economic opportunities, sometimes offered by the regulatory agencies, landowners are knowingly “mining” a finite resource, which will inevitably cause a massive agricultural collapse due to the demise of one of the largest underground freshwater supply in the world.

It follows that when food becomes scarce or expensive, populations will fall.  After all, there is only so much food to go around.  After the O. Aquifer runs dry, America’s food production will plummet.  Starvation will be the plight of those who cannot afford to pay the sky-high prices for food.

Aquifer depletion is not just unique to the U.S., it is a global problem.  India, China, and even the Middle East all are in the midst of a water crisis.

Once the water is gone, the croplands that depend on it dry up.  Following that, erosion kicks in, and the winds blow away the dry soils in a “Dust Bowl” type of scenario.

Such is the legacy of conventional agriculture, which is based almost entirely on non-sustainable practices.  What’s becoming increasingly obvious is that local/homegrown authentic food production is going to become a critical survival skill.  This means that we must have a science/common sense-based understanding of soil, water, open-pollinated seeds, organic fertilizers, soil probiotics (beneficial soil  microorganisms, insect pollination, and much more – a whole set of skills that have faded away in America in just two generations, leaving very few people who know how to live off their own land.

How important is Water, Soil, Food, and the Tiller of the Soil to the continuity of life on this Planet?

It seems to be more than a reasonable assumption that from the very beginning of the life form on this Planet that water was essential for the production of food and for food to be systematically produced, a tiller was necessary to till the earth (The Garden).  This was the beginning of Authentic Farming (Gardening with Nature).

Today, we have 7+ billion individuals residing on our planet, who are increasing at the rate of 211,000 per day, and who must eat several times a day to be vital and become worthy carriers of the seed of life for the continuance of our species.

Not only must we eat food regularly, we must eat food that has not been grown artificially.  Artificial food makes for artificial people with artificial intelligence.

It is safe to say that global security is inextricably bound to food security.  If our food supply is not secured by the tiller, then the people of this planet and the planet itself are in imminent danger of dissolution.  To elucidate and underscore this impending peril, consider the following facts:

1. The natural resource base of our earth and its’ potential for land-based production is limited, limited in the first order by the amount of existent land, 29%, and limited on the second order, because, of this 29% land base, only approximately 11% is classified as arable.
2. In 2006, there was 1.15 acres of arable land per person, world-wide.
3. By 2039, there may be only 0.59 acres of arable land per person, world-wide.
4. Arable land is being lost at the alarming rate of over 38,610 square miles per year.
5. At this current rate of land lost, and even if the population did not grow any larger, ALL arable land could be lost in only 310 years.
6. To make matters worse, only 1% of working Americans claim farming as their primary occupation.
7. 57% of these farmers are 55 years old or older.

The reality of our situation is highlighted by the fact that about 60 years ago, worldwide samples of soil were studied and evaluated for viable protein output.  The results established an average viable protein output of 12%; the minimum necessary for animal and human health is 25% viable protein.

In the 70s, this study was conducted again with the sample average being reduced to 6%.  The USDA released figures indication that the average U.S. soil had a viable protein factor of 1.5% to 3% for the same sample period.  

The current situation is that we are rapidly converting the soil of the earth to a destructive anthropogenic vortex fueled by industrial chemicals.  This soil, and the ecosystems it supports, is failing in its attempt to produce high quality proteinaceous crops for a world population whose growth is incessant.

According to the United Nation’s GEO-4 Report (Nov., 2007), written by 390 scientists and peer-reviewed by 1000 more, humans are now requiring 22 hectares (54 for acres) per person for all the activities that sustain human life.  However, there are only 16 hectares (39 acres) per person available world-wide.  Farmland is being degraded, ocean fisheries are being depleted, and fresh water is becoming scarcer.

Our current predicament is becoming something of a test case for the current state of our planet’s collective intellect.  Food, water, and energy are fundamental building blocks of any country’s economy and are becoming increasingly intertwined.
